I feel a little connected to this fashion editorial simply because it is inspired by the Peruvian custom clothing. For the ones who don't know, I am a Peruvian original and I identify myself with the entire photo shoot. This is what we study in history class. lol
Other than using Peruvian apparel, the stylist spiced up the look by including modern silhouettes and cuts. This combination resulted in what can be seen as a Cowgirl Style, which I am not saying is not fab, but its just pretty similar.
While looking at most of these pictures, I can see that most of the apparel is acid washed. They wrapped ponchos and the typical scarves to create beautiful center pieces placed at the waist of the model.
This photo shoot is full of leather accents, turquoise, and beige. These are the colors used in the accessories, which are usually made with shells or other type of natural materials.
There it is "Peruvian in Paris," with Kasia Struss x Vogue Paril April 2013. Enjoy!!!
